Welcome To Hope Buseruka Charity
A community-based non-profit in Hoima

Hope Buseruka Charity Organization, a community-driven initiative focused on transforming lives in Buseruka Subcounty, located in Hoima District, Western Uganda. We are dedicated to addressing critical issues such as poverty, illiteracy, lack of healthcare, gender inequality, and livelihood challenges through sustainable interventions that empower the local community.

Our organization was born out of a pressing need to support marginalized populations, particularly women and girls, who face unimaginable hardships in their daily lives. One of the most pressing challenges is menstrual health. Many young girls in Buseruka drop out of school during their menstrual periods due to a lack of access to sanitary products and proper menstrual hygiene education. This unfortunate reality is one of the major contributors to the high illiteracy rates and low educational attainment in the region.

What We Do

Education Support for Vulnerable Children
At Hope Buseruka Charity Organisation, we believe that education is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty. We identify academically promising children from disadvantaged backgrounds—especially those who have lost a parent or face severe social challenges—and provide them with scholarships, school fees, and essential scholastic materials. Our goal is to ensure that no child is left behind due to financial or social barriers.

Psychosocial and Emotional Support
Beyond academics, we recognize the emotional struggles many children in our community face. Through structured psychosocial support programs, we help children build resilience and emotional well-being. We offer a safe and nurturing environment where children can express their feelings, heal from trauma, and gain confidence to pursue their dreams with renewed strength and hope.

Community Engagement and Follow-Up
We work closely with families, schools, and local leaders to ensure a collaborative and sustainable impact. Monthly visits to schools and households allow us to monitor each child’s academic progress and personal well-being. Our approach fosters trust, accountability, and a strong support network around every child we serve—ensuring that our efforts create lasting change in the Buseruka community.
